Trading for store credit will ALWAYS get you better value than trading for cash. We generally offer cash at 50% or better and credit at 60% or better but pricing varies based on a multitude of factors. We encourage you to ask questions when we make our offer if the number is not what you expect. Cards valued between $1 and $3 are usually purchased at a reduced rate, and cards under $1 are almost always priced as bulk.
If you want to ship us a trade in, please build your collection on TCGPlayer and email us your list for a tentative offer. Once we have received your items and verified your list is accurate, we will send you payment via check or EFT.

Appraisal
Whether you found a shoebox full of you-don’t-know-what at a yard sale or you’ve been holding onto a miscut Worldwake Jayce for the better part of a decade, we’ll find the best possible comps so you know exactly what you have and exactly how much to ask for it. This service begins at $30/hour, a fee which is waived if you opt to use our services to sell your items when we are finished.

We find that buy lists often result in outdated prices, and can set unreasonable expectations that we are actively seeking certain cards and do not want others. For those reasons, we do not have one.
We strongly encourage you to do your own research, unless you are hiring us to appraise your collection, so you have an idea of whether you feel our offer is reasonable.
If you feel our offer is unreasonable, please say so BEFORE we have completed our transaction. You won’t hurt our feelings.

Trade ins should be submitted in boxes, without sleeves, and with a reasonable effort to separate value over $1 from true bulk.
In cases where thousands of cards are submitted in binders or sleeves, and where no attempt has been made to delineate between bulk and non-bulk, we deduct 10% from our offer to cover the additional labor.
If you have a very large quantity of bulk, we may be willing to come pick it up within a 5 hour driving radius (CT, MA, NH, NY, NJ, PA).
Trade-Ins: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How does your trade-in process work?
You contact us with a list of your desired trade in. We make a tentative offer and send you a trade in form to complete. You print that form, fill it out, and include it with your cards when you ship them to us. After we receive your cards, we will make a formal offer and you can decide whether or not to take it. If you reject the offer or what we receive is wildly different than what you said you would be sending us, you will be required to pay return shipping. If we successfully reach an agreement, we will send you money.
What kinds of cards do you accept?
We accept singles, bulk, and sealed product for the following games:

Do you accept bulk cards?
Yes! We take bulk for certain games. Our rates vary based on the game, rarity, and demand. Bulk must be sorted by rarity (and set if possible) and in near-mint condition—no damaged, bent, or heavily played cards.
What’s the difference between store credit and cash offers?
We always offer more value in store credit than in cash. Store credit can be used on anything in our webstore.
Cash offers are lower because of market resale factors, but they’re a great option if you’re looking for immediate payout.
How long does it take for you to appraise my cards?
Once we receive your trade in, we will have an offer for you in 1 week or less.
Do you charge for appraisals?
For general trade-ins, there’s no fee. However, if you need a formal appraisal for insurance or collection valuation, we charge $30 per hour for this service.
Do I need to prepare my cards before bringing them in?
Yes, please! To speed up the process and ensure the best rates, follow these steps:
✔️ Remove cards from binders, sleeves, and toploaders (unless they are high-value cards)
✔️ Securely package them in an appropriately sized BCW box INSIDE an appropriate sized box for shipping
Do you buy sealed products or accessories?
We may accept sealed booster boxes, packs, and decks for trade-in, depending on demand and condition. We generally do not buy used accessories (binders, deck boxes, playmats), but exceptions may be made for high-demand items.
What if I have rare or graded cards?
We evaluate rare and graded cards individually, considering factors like condition, set, and demand. If you have high-value cards, we recommend including any authentication paperwork or grading info.
